Chef Todd’s Mint Tea

At Beach Plum Farm, early summer brings an abundance of mint and fresh herbs, and as the days get warmer, we’ll be longing for something cool, crisp and refreshing for those lazy days at the beach.

So, now’s the perfect time to make some of Chef Todd’s Mint Tea at home.  You can pick up all of your farm fresh ingredients at the Beach Plum Farm market.  We’re now open daily for the season from 8am-3pm.

Mint Tea
Yield: 1 Gallon

Ingredients:
~1 Qt      Fresh Mint, Leaves and Stems
¾ C           Honey
4 Qt         Water

Recipe:

Place all ingredients (except water) in gallon size container

Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil and pour over tea ingredients

Allow to steep for 10 minutes

Pour remaining 2 quarts of water (cold) into tea.

Ingredients may be strained out or left in.
